DEP Citizens Advisory Council Meets Oct. 8 On Hydrogen Hubs, Data Centers, Food Processing Residuals, PFAS ‘Forever Chemicals’ Regulation

DEP’s
Citizens Advisory Council is scheduled to meet October 8 on a variety of topics, including hydrogen hubs, data center development and food processing residuals.

DEP Acting Secretary Jessica Shirley is also scheduled to provide an update on agency activities.

Also on the agenda is a presentation by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 3 on PFAS ‘forever chemicals’ regulation in drinking water.

Rob Altenburg, Director of the PennFuture Energy Center, will give a presentation on hydrogen hub and data center development in Pennsylvania.

High Garst, Acting Director of the DEP Policy Office, will provide an overview of the food processing residuals working group report.

Ruby Stanmyer, with the EPA Region 3 Drinking Water Section, will give the presentation on PFAS ‘forever chemicals’ regulation in drinking water.

Public Comment Period

Individuals interested in providing public comment during the meeting must sign up 24-hours in advance of the meeting by contacting Ian Irvin at iirvin@pa.gov
